Protect your boat and enjoy a quieter ride
SCOTTfoam Marine [formerly Insulfoam or Foamitt] is cost effective, easy to use, spray-on polyurethane buoyancy foam. SCOTTfoam Marine buoyancy foam adds strength to your hull and helps protect against impact damage. It’s Australian made and is used by major boat builders across Australia.
What is SCOTTfoam Marine?
- Waterproof polyurethane foam. Each cell in the foam structure is completely closed off from surrounding cells, which prevents it from acting like a sponge.
- A non-corrosive polyurethane foam that adheres and fills
- Australia’s only refillable, two component buoyancy spray ‘in-situ’ foam which means you spray the foam where you want it to go. Spray foam in smaller boats eliminates the need for you to add “blocks of foam” to your hull. Low density (typically 32 kilos) SCOTTfoam Marine adds buoyancy to your boat without adding unnecessary weight to it.
- Does not contain solvents so it won’t harm your boat. It’s suitable for use with aluminium (see note below) making it ideal for most marine hulls.
The SCOTTfoam Marine difference:
- SCOTTfoam Marine buoyancy foam is delivered in an easy to operate “do it yourself” kit. You won’t have to wait and pay for an installer and only need to purchase the amount you’ll need.

- Can be cut and trimmed within approximately five minutes.
- Exceptional shear and tensile strength – helps limit hull damage caused by impact.
